Quick tip. If you want to go right, don't go on a road trip with three goofy's.
We made our way to the land of the right handers and still managed to surf lefts for 80% of the trip. We did score though.
The crew at Hologram gave us a call. "We have some gear here for you to test, are you keen?"
We saw a big swell hitting and knew that this was the time to send it. We told the bosses we wouldn't be in next week and packed our cars.
Some of the trip has been put up on YouTube, so I won't spoil it for you. Here's my takeaways:
- Invest in a good chilly bin. If you don't, your chicken will end up swimming in ice. This creates a filthy salmonella-slime infused cocktail at the bottom that will make you wretch as you tip it out.
- Pick the right people. People that get funnier as you get more tired are the perfect specimens for a trip
- Take time to hang out with yourself away from the crew. It allows you to appreciate the trip as it happens and helps you to consider what you want to do/where to go next.
- Always bring a camp chair, stop scrounging for makeshift seats.
